Ahhhhh, I really like coming home from a hot day at work to let Mango out of his cage. Sit back and relax, enjoy a cold one, while Mango does his rounds! Well.......... for about 5 minutes anyhow!:)
After that, I had better start getting his nummies warming, or next, he starts his flying at your face ( while flying at about mach 1) speed routine.
Pulls up or banks left or right, while precisely smaking you in you face with his wing tips as he goes by:p!
Trying to teach him "INCOMMING" or "LOOK OUT! WHEW
THAT WAS CLOSE!" While doing that:).

LOL. Too funny. Valentino species is one of the best fliers out there with skills that rival any parrot I have ever lived with. I never had a parrot who can hover, fly backwards, sideways, never knocks over anything or flies into anything and when he was a baby would land of my person so lightly it was like being touched from an angel.

Now when Valentino is flying to me he flies with such speed he will "smack" himself into me. I have had him land on my shoulder smacking his beak on my head, grab the back of my head with his sharp talons as I am running away from him, make my hand numb as he smacks into my arm. Valentino is a very powerful skillful flier but darn it what happened to the gentle landings touched by an angel landings he use to do?

The one early morning he broke out of his cage and flew upstairs to "find" me in my bed asleep he decided to land on my HEAD and scared the crap out of me. I never even heard him fly into the bedroom. I believe I might of wet myself a little bit.

Sounds like he's the boss and letting you figure it out! :p
"Run away from me.....I'll show you SMACK!" :30:
Hey, maybe he needs some birdie spectacles! :22:
LOL:D
They do crack us up quite often.
Life would be boring without our flighted family members.
My son keeps ducking, and I'm Mango knows what he is doing. He is trying to find his spot in the family, and thinks he is my son's superior!
