Hello,

So my 8 month old male ekkie, Yoshi, decided he doesn't want his fruit anymore. He used to eat copious amounts of pomegranate, blueberriues, apple & passionfruit everyday.

I started to offer him a variety of beans and chickpeas and since then thats all he wants to eat(along with any nuts and seeds I offer him of course). The only fruit he seems to be eating still is blueberries(for its water content I presume).

Has this happened to anyone else?

My concern is beans and chickpeas, apart from being a source of protein, arent all that nutritious. I am just thankful he is still eating his pumpkin which has a full nutritional profile.

I give Mango a variety of foods. Tonight he had his bean cusine, along with lean hamburger. This guy will try ANYTHING he see you eating. He loves beets, sweet potatoes, green beans, raw carrots more than cooked. The occasional hardboiled egg with the shells. Chicken (little canible)! And almonds, pistachios, tuna ,salmon. Try different types of foods. Just make sure it's safe for your lil Ekki.

Yep, mine definitely gets bored of certain foods sometimes and will stop eating them. I rotate them out of what he's getting for a bit and then offer them back up later and he'll usually start eating them again.. just needs a break!

Don't think he'd ever get sick of pomegranates though :D pretty sure he'd sell me for a pomegranate tree...
