Hi All!

I was wondering how you serve pomegranate to your precious feather kid(s)? I bough four yesterday and cut a sliver of it and placed it in a dish for Oliver and at first he was suspicious but then went hog-wild crazy and ate the entire sliver...skin and all! Is this okay? Or do you take those little seeds out? I wanted to give him more fruit variety and also thought the seed drops could be a fun "busy" food and the fact that he loves it too even better. Any thoughts? :31:

Ekko sometimes gets a whole chunk, but mostly I remove the seeds and feed them a few in their chop. They are a huge hit with everyone here.

Great, thank you! Oliver was over the moon with the chunk I gave him but when he started eating at the skin I was concerned it might not be a good idea. I like the idea of scraping some of the seed and mixing them in with his food. Thank you again!

I think half the fun is using it as a foraging food and letting them get the seeds. When the seeds are gone how about just offering another piece? Sunny loves pomagranits. A few tries and your bird should learn what the best part is.

I quarter the pomegranate for Winston & Montego. They get all the seeds then toss the skin. Good foraging fun.

Oh fantastic! I'm so glad I asked. So then keeping the wedge in tact would serve as a foraging exercise with nutrition ta boot. How awesome.Thank you!
