She is the most photogenic of everyone and as hard as it is to believe pictures do not do her "in person" beauty justice! I adore her so much she has really mellowed more lately, never nips, will step up now even from deep inside the cage. (For those of you that remember she is the one that most times had to be taken out of the cage on a stick then transferred to my arm.) I never let her call the shots and always made her step on the stick so I guess she just realized it was a much quicker process to step up on my hand from the cage in the first place. Any where else, stands or shower perch she always stepped up great so I am happy that she has made this leap. Not sure my husband could get her out of the cage but it's a start.:p

Without further adieu....

Female eclectus are the beauty queens of the bird world. Jillie is like Miss Universe:D She's really a stunner, and I bet she's soft too with those perfect feathers!

Lol she knows it too!:p
She will let me and only me pet her a little, once in a while with great impatience on her part. She tolerates it because she loves me, that is all and she makes that clear, but oh yes she is soft and slick.:32: I don't ever push petting with Eclectus, boys are usually more open to it but even with them I think it is a matter of respect to be okay with the fact that they just are not typically into being pet for any length of time once they are mature.

Jillie is just breathtaking, Laura. And congrats on the progress with her as well!
I better keep Ekko away from the screen or he will be trying to set flight plans to your house:)

She is beautiful, Laura! Breathtaking, actually! I may be a little biased, but I think eclectus are easily among the most beautiful of parrots!

I was wondering about Jillie's feet, though. I thought all ekkies had grayish black feet. Is she an exception? Or have I just not seen enough ekkies?

They can run from both a light to a much darker grey from what I have seen.:)

I would have to agree with the most beautiful part...but I may be a bit biased as well!:p
