I can see him in my SKype call that he's picking the sticker off under the bottom of his seed cup.

I'm still here for another 2 hours.

I hope he's spitting it out but I'm worried about the glue.

Should I be rushing home????

Presently have six Greenwing Macaw (17 yo), Red Fronted Macaw (12 yo), Red Lored Amazon (17 y.o.), Lilac Crowned Amazon (about 43 y.o.) and a Congo African Grey (11 y.o.)
Panama Amazon (1 Y.O.)
I personally wouldn't worry about little things like that.

He's picking it off and chewing it.

I doubt they'd put something toxic on something designed to go in a cage, where this is foreseeable.

I've been told that the glue in cardboard boxes is potentially harmful, but mine, and the birds down at the rescue, have been shredding cardboard for twenty or more years with no ill effects...

I doubt a little bitty sticker would do it.

Katie, Mark is probably right. Buuuuuuuuut.... if you are as paranoid as I am, you're probably thinking better safe than sorry. Maybe you can try using some vinegar to try neutralizing the glue? Or wet it and use a scraper like you'd use to get a sticker off a windshield?

Lol I have a drop cam in 2 of my birds's favorite places, so I totally get it ;) I check in on them often on my phone when I'm at work or whatever. It also clears up a lot of mysteries!

That is actually a great idea. My mom has one in my grandma's assisted living room but I bet birds are way more fun to watch than old people!!!

Thank you for the replies! I will try the cooking oil or vinegar to remove the rest. Jasper seemed perfectly fine last night which was a relief.

It's so easy to Skype! It's the first thing I do when I get to work. In case anyone's interested:

1. Create two Skype accounts
2. Set up your camera in front of your bird cage (make sure to set the computer to never sleep/shut down), in Skype settings under calls put answer all incoming calls automatically AND start camera
3. From your other account (at work, on your phone, wherever you are), call the account at home and it will automatically pick up and turn on the camera :)

I've been doing this ever since I got him, I like knowing he's ok :) And of course it's fun to see what he's up to.

I also suggest setting your computer at home to start skype automatically when you turn on your computer in case there's a windows update or something that reboots your computer automatically.
