Venus has a new game, she likes to bite my fingers, tonguing my artificial nails. She doesn't bite down too hard but she loves to grab my nail, any one of them, bite down and tongue my nail and finger. She loves chasing my fingers. Any thoughts on what is so fascinating?

My quaker likes my nails too but I don't let him play with them because one hard pull and it could come off! And I don't have fake nails! Bird beaks are so strong that personally I consider it too risky. I have seen that beak snapping wood! My nails are off limits lol

Watch this as it might escalate to full on biting. With eclectus grabbing a finger and moving it away politely is usually their way of saying I don't like that (whatever "that" maybe). If that isn't obeyed by the person it typically results in a good chomp. I would also be concerned that the glue they use for artificial nails is some pretty toxic stuff.
