Caption this photo: Parkers grand feathering reveal

As most of you know Parker came to me as somewhat of a plucker, all the way down to his down feathers. In the intervening time he has feathered out incredibly well (has a ways to go under the wings, but you won't really notice it here), and I thought this would be a good opportunity to caption one particular photo I'm quite fond of.

This was him on his first night home

And now, for the moments we've all been waiting for, may I give you the new and improved Parker the parrot!

A mug like that is screaming for a good caption. Everyone put on your roasting caps, and Let it rip!

Oh my gosh!!! I sooo hope I get to do an "unveiling" of DeRita like this someday!

As far as your pictures.... Oh my gosh Parker is ADORABLE! Oh...the pics...

FIRST thought that came to my mind....song by right said Fred...I think it was???? The cat walk! EXCEPT in Parkers case...its the Bird walk...."I'm too sexy for my feathers...."

Can you give me some tips and advice on what you did to get Parker to stop plucking? Just 3 weeks ago, I adopted a terribly naked yellow naped Amazon named DeRita. I will be soo excited for her to even get down feathers back.

I believe I am on the right track with her so far, but am always looking for new ideas and methods just in case what I'm already doing doesn't work out.

Hi Toni,

I wish I had advice for you but unfortunately his sagas not far from over., and I can't claim much credit here He came to me a couple months ago as a a seasonal plucker, whereby he plucks in late winter only to allow himself to re feather in the summer, and pull again in the winter. So it's completely expected that he looks great now. I won't know if the cycle is broken until jam/feb. so I'm wIting with baited breath to see if I've done enough to address his issue.

Keep the captions coming! Spin seeing something grumpy, maybe "meddling human. I'm just biding my time before I chomp your finger off"

I love that Parker's feathering is coming along so nicely. If you were told the truth about his seasonal plucking, then it is in all likelihood environmental. Prime suspect? Dry air. I'd say just keep up the baths in the winter and maybe pick up a humidifier.

As for captions... "I... will... END... you!"
