Do parrots cry?

Silly question I know but Peppa a few times has made a tiny little peeping sound when I've gone out for a few hours. I come home and get her out of her cage and it sounds like such sooky little noise and she is so cuddly. Doesn't happen often but I've noticed it a few times. I went to cover her cage as it's bedtime and she started to make that sound again and wanted to come out of her her cage so of course I got her out and have her a quick cuddle and put her back. She seemed quite happy with that as she went back up to her perch. I don't know how describe it but it's such a soft short little peep. It makes me melt.

Salty makes a soft little peep when he is happy and just chilling out.

None. My wife has one too many. Kidding!
Our parrot imitates a whining dog and used to do a crying baby, but the baby grew up and the bird forgot it.

my YNA makes a whining keening noise that sounds sad to me but I don't think he IS sad when he does that.

The pretty chicken makes a lot of soft little cooing noises when she is feeling comfortable or cuddly. I love the noises, they seem so sweet.

My oldest budgie, Samantha, cries. She first did it when Scarlet (one of her flockmates), had a stroke. Samantha cried for three weeks straight until Scarlet died in her sleep from another stroke. I don't remember exactly what it sounded like, but it was something like a mournful, pleading "ra ra ra ra". She knew Scarlet was dying.

Last year, Samantha started crying again. When she'd wake up from a nap, she'd make that same "ra ra." Before I closed the blinds and turned off the light for the night, she'd go over to the side of the cage I was at and start crying, and gave me this look that clearly told me she was upset and wanted my help.

Well, it turned out that she'd developed this fear of the dark, and was terrified of sleeping. I know birds can't see well in the dark, but the way her eyes drifted apart, unfocused in the dark told me she had completely lost what little night vision budgies normally have. As soon as I put nightlights in every available outlet in the room, she quit crying. However, if one of the nightlights stops working properly, she is quick to tell me. It is completely heartbreaking to know that it took me a month to figure out she was afraid of the dark. Imagine being terrified of going to sleep because it's dark. If your kid, human or otherwise, wants a nightlight, let them have it.

My two parakeets make noises when they're apart. They can still see each other but if here not within 6 inches of each other, it's a crisis. They also start chirping when I walk into the room, it makes me feel like they missed me

Jasper sounds like he's purring when we cuddle sometimes, it's so cute. No idea where he got it from, I only have a fish apart from him! :p

Peppa purrs as well, when she is sitting with me before bed, it sounds so sweet.

Venus beeps. Here is a link to hear her beep. It's piercing and loud but I've determined it's a learned flock call. This doesn't seem to be a typical Ekkie sound.

Hahaha! Venus sounds like she's giving one of those old school party shout outs! Oh, I laughed so hard after hearing that!

As for the original topic, my birds have never cried. They do, however, make this sweet little sound after they are completely pooped from training and are just feeling all cuddly and such. It sounds like a little child going, "Hmm?" It gets hilarious when they both get around to doing it at the same time, sounding like two hard-of-hearing sweethearts. Lol!
