I spent 5 hours cooking 3 big batches of dinners for Jasper yesterday! He has about 9 or 10 ingredients in each, and it should last about 4 months.

After I finished up I let him come over and sample. He promptly went bowl-to-bowl trying all of them :D

And I just realized I should buy a food processor...I've been doing it this entire time with a small handheld chopper. Next time I'll invest to help save some time/my hands hehe

Sweet dishes, Katie! With a well-varied list of ingredients. Most impressive! Jasper is one lucky ekkie!

I'd love a sample... well, maybe a bit of butter and salt, but... sign ME up!

And may I remark: you and your bird are just beautiful. Gorgeous and loving portrait.

RIP Gandalf and Big Bird, you are missed.
Looks yummy! Tell Jasper the food was hand-crafted and slow-cooked, all the marketing buzzwords to increase his appreciation of your efforts!

I have a couple questions. I have a SI female who is almost 5 months. Shes still a little picky with food. How much do you offer and at what times? Please and thank you ☺️

Breakfast: ~9am (adjust to your schedule)
- All raw vegetables + some fruit
- 3/4 cup (mind you this is 3/4 full of the cup in his cage, I'm not sure what it actually converts to)

Dinner: ~6:30pm (adjust to your schedule)
- Example of food is at the beginning of this thread
- 3 or 4 heaping tablespoons + some fruit

Treats (when we're doing training, or just whenever)

"Snacky Time" ~9pm
- 1 tablespoon of seed mix

If I notice he's eating more/less I'll adjust slightly but otherwise this is what he always gets. I've noticed at different times of the year he seems to consume a bit more so I'll give him more.

Hope that helps :)

I used to cook everything, but I realized why am I doing this when I'm going to microwave his dinners anyway? So I only cook what *has* to be cooked (beans, lentils, rice, etc).

So no to cooking the peppers/carrots/zucchini. And yes, I peel the zucchini.
