well after 3 months home Maxx finely gave up his first full scream so cool, I just love the living room sounding like you are in the jungle. the wife and I had just got home and they where all excited. it was really cute when he did it he looked proud and puffed up, also noticed the volume has gone up on the daily chatter coming out of him. I knew the scream was coming as I have listened to him practicing it. also noticed today while listening to the chatter he has picked up a few words.Lilly, and he is trying to figure out "what ya doing". also noticed Sammy doing the what ya doing thing in one of his low volume rants.

the funny thing is when Maxx was in the nursery he was much louder then since bringing him home.

Amazing... if you have a minute, you can check out "National Take it in the Ear Day" in the Rickeybird's scrapbook today. I'm having a good chuckle!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The first time the Rickeybird unveiled his cover of J-Lo's 'Booty' song was on Cinco de Mayo in... 2014, if memory serves me...
I'd love to see/hear a vid of that scream sometime.

Yeah, ekkies have a set of lungs on them when they're of a mind. But you ain't heard nothing yet until you've heard their alarm scream! I always laugh when people wonder if they have ever heard that scream, because I know they haven't. Because people who have KNOW that they have! Hahaha! Talk about peeling the paint off the walls! Never heard it from one of my own birds, but I did catch an earful from Bixby's hatchmate in the bird store. Wow!

Nice that Maxx is also beginning to pick up on some words. Make sure to encourage his talking in front of you, as so many ekkies tend to become closet talkers... saving their best bits for when they think that you're not around. Lol!

And I know what you mean about him having been much louder in the nursery! That painfully consistent ekkie screech when they are in the process of weaning is a tough phase. So worth it, though.

Oh, no. That is definitelyy NOT the one. The alarm scream is like the audio equivalent of an icepick to the cerebellum! Hahaha! We're talking an intensity that can peel paint off walls! Imagine fingernails screeching on blackboards... through the magnifying effect of a surround sound amplifier!

I think I caught the alarm call this morning he was out on his favorite curtain rod and he got a toe caught. he figured after 4 reps he had to get off the rod to get loose.
was pretty loud
