Maxx seems to carry food around for a bit in his beak, starting to wonder if he has a pocket in there or something.lol at times I will get him out and he will be out for a few and drop a piece of seed or grain also noticed he will carry it around in his cage grinding it with his beak for hours. I gave him a cashew this morning while he was sitting on a chair next to me took him 27 minutes to do away with it and for all I had to clean up I doubt he really ate any of it.

That's very different. The longest my ekkies will hold food in their beaks is maybe a few minutes. Maybe. For the most part, they basically inhale their food and keep it moving! Lol!

They do have a secret pocket - under their tongue. Salty hids bits of pine nut under there when we train.

lol yes I've caught Jasper saving a few treats under there before. It's almost like he was waiting for me to bring him back to his cage so he could eat it there instead haha
