Hi all,

Gizmo and Pebbles get a mix of beans in their chop, but boiled not sprouted. Today I was in a health food shop and ended up grabbing a bag of mung beans.

I have done a bit of reading and watching video's this evening, but just wanted to check a few things:

* do I sprout just to the point that it splits and a small tail comes out or if not how many days do you sprout for?
* do you only sprout enough for a serving, or of not how do you keep it, and for how long?

Cheers,

Cameron

Fly free Plum, my gorgeous boy.
Soak 12 hours first, I usually wait till definite tail but don't think any harm in before.

Keep in the fridge for 4/5 days I would, not keen on any more. They tend to get dry with keeping and makes them less appealing. Get that production line going LOL!
Remember rinse, rinse and rinse again LOL. At least with two birds less chance of waste. Good luck.

Can be cooked also, soak 12 hours, rinse and drain, cover fresh water bring to boil, simmer 30/40 mins

Yup! What Plumsmum said! Hahaha!

The tail should get to be a quarter inch in length. Should probably take 2 or 3 days. And yes, only 4 or 5 days in the fridge.

Great thanks everyone. If I get a chance, I will start a small trial patch today.
