My Sweet Moment

Today while I was laying on the couch, Venus exited her cage, walked over to me, stood by the couch looking at me so I picked her up and sat her on my chest. She fluffed a little, got comfy and went to sleep and took a nap. Love it!

Clearly, Venus knows a comfortable place for a nap! Pretty soon, she will work at flying over, after all its quicker, right!

Awww! Check out Miss Venus getting her cuddle on! Too bad you didn't get a pic! But it's moments like this that make all the difficulty with her raging hormones worth it, huh? I bet you melted straightaway! Lol!

Do you know that in the entire time I've had Maya, I've never once seen her sleep? Not once! You can't sneak up on her, and whenever she's on me she's either staring intently at me, trying to mush herself into my face, or preening. If my wife hadn't seen her sleep before, I'd seriously have to wonder if she ever slept at all!

I am so envious.
The Rb has never ONCE slept on or around me.
Not once in my presence.
I think he thinks he can't risk it... he's a very vigilant, high-strung little rooster.

Awe, I love it when they do that! So sweet! My Senegal does the same thing if I'm on the couch, he loves to snuggle up beside my ear, under my hair. He'll stand there looking at me until I pick him up and put him on my chest. They are so adorable...

And to believe there are a lot of people who still say "I don't get it, it's just a bird".
