I'm a bit late posting this, but I thought I should earmark Bellas Hatch Day!
I can't believe how quickly she's growing up. Her beak is almost black now & she chatters like she's been talking for years! I can't believe how far we've come in such a short time. It feels like forever ago when she was growling and biting my fingers - haha! I love my girl & she loves me too. I look forward to every moment I get to spend with her.

You're right, time really does fly! I remember when she was growling and biting your fingers, too! I also recall saying that I knew it would all work out because you came across as a natural parront. And judging from all the progress you've made with her, I see that I was right.

Of course, you do realize that no Hatch Day thread is complete without pictures, right?

She kinda had a weird hatch day.....
she and Dexter went to the vet for a cloacal gram stain!

Dexter was fine!

Bella was low on 'good bacteria' so she got some Avipro Plus. I'm thinking it's from when she went to a different vet who gave precautionary meds for IF she had an infection - thus killing good and bad bacteria as a result!

After being violated, they both got treats!

They both had a shower and blow-dry!

Bella got a new replacement foraging pouch (she loves them).
When I bought it, it looked like this...

She pulled the shredded paper out within 48hours

The foraging pouch now looks like this...

She also got a new toy to shred, but proceeded to destroy the rope holding the toy to the cage, so I need to Bella-proof that one before it goes back in

All in all, I think the fun outweighed the trauma!

Beautiful pics!!! And yes, I do indeed believe the fun outweighed the trauma! Mama done spoiled them good!
