Hi All,

I have 2 pr of ecelctus, a 5 y.o pair breeding pair, and a 12 mth old pair in adjoining flights, The young pair consists of last years youngster and a hen who was purchased as a 6-12 mths of age bird.

I have not put the breeding pairs nest box up as yet, usually wait for the hen to start begging for food. However, I have seen the young female in the adjoining aviary begging for food recently and the older male showing interest through the double wire petition. I am not planning on giving the younger pair a next box this season, as I think they are not ready.
Question is, will this be a distraction or stimulus for the breeding pair, should I separate the pairs and move to other flights?

Thanks

Fly free Plum, my gorgeous boy.
I have heard that it can work sometimes by just putting a barrier between the flights, bit like a privacy curtain LOL.
