About a week ago Ziggy started acting different, he is scared and shakes and does not yell momma anymore. He was very active and talked a lot before and now he sits low like a hen instead of standing up. He seems to eat ok and his feathers look good. He will move my finger away with his mouth when I go to get him a lot now and he never did this before. I dont know if he got hurt some how but his leg does shake when I get him. I have felt both legs and I dont feel or see anything. He is just suddenly a different bird.

My first thoughts are... hormones?? It is that time of year for some strange hormonal behavior. But a vet check never hurts!

RIP Gandalf and Big Bird, you are missed.
Seems like good cause for a visit to an avian vet. Thankfully there are many excellent practices in SoCal.

Any updates on Ziggy? Hoping you were able to get him to an avian vet.

I agree with all of the above...time to get Zig into an AVIAN vet asap!

Ziggy is finally back to normal, I could tell that he must have hurt his foot of wing some how and that it would take time to heal. I kept him calm and didn't take him off his cage very much, now he is back to zipping around like normal. Im still keeping him a little calm so that he can still recover from whatever happened, but he dosnt really want to sit still anymore.
