Toy Recommendations

Hi! Still researching a bit for my future eclectus. I would like to start purchasing things now so that I'm absolutely ready for my little boy when I get him.

I would like to know which toys all of you would recommend. I would like some ideas of good foraging toys, toys that can be used to help train this little guy, and simply something he could gnaw on and destroy. I've been looking mainly on this site as they're not too far from where I live.

I was also wondering about a harness. If I get a medium-sized Aviator Harness, would it be suitable from the size of a weaned chick to an adult sized bird?

Thanks :)

Our Eclectus folks will be along soon, I'm sure.

Meanwhile, many of us love mysafebirdstore.com for our fids' stuff.

I see you're also in Montreal :)

Nature Pet here has a nice section of parrot toys, but since I don't have a car I can't get to one too often. They have quite a few locations.

I buy from Parrotdise Perch and Things for Wings a lot (both in Canada).

Jasper is about 375 grams and he wears a medium harness. If you look at the back of the box there are different weights.

Hope that helps!

Thanks Katie. I will look at those sites.

I'm more curious about specific foraging toys. Is it better to get one of those clear rolling balls that I can hide food in? Would the 4 drawers be good too?

Just looking for some ideas :)
