Lucky sways from side to side when I do too. Why is this?

Lucky, the Male Aru Eclectus
Hey everyone!

Quick update (I'm not very active here, more of a lurker): Lucky and I have been together now for maybe 4-5 months and it has been incredible. He's happy as always and is beginning to fly to my hand when he asks for it. The bond is something I could have never imagined prior to being a bird owner. Thanks everyone for the advice in my first (and only other) post here.

Now, the interesting discovery.

A while back I was being a dork in my own home and acting like a crab around Lucky, swaying back and forth with my arms in the air. I immediately noticed Lucky was intrigued and was slowly swaying his head back and forth with me.

The feathers were normal, eyes were not pinned, he just seemed very amused by it. I didn't know if it was a negative response, so I stopped doing it for the time being.

However, ever since, I've noticed that sometimes when I go up to him I'll sway a little bit as I shift my weight to stand, and Lucky sways with me! Sometimes if I'm singing to him and swaying back and forth, it's very dramatic swaying, 100% in sync with me (almost to the point I wouldn't even notice it if it werent for the feathers shifting back and forth).

It is so in-tune and synchronized with my swaying I had to ask my boyfriend to confirm he's actually swaying and it's not just me imagining it.

Like I mentioned earlier, he's not showing aggressive signs (he's not the one initiating the swaying in this case) and his wings are down and he's very clearly relaxed.

Is this a normal parrot/eclectus behavior? I can't find anyone else describing this behavior but it's absolutely adorable, and almost appears to be involuntary.

When he's fixated most on me is when the swaying is the most dramatic and it's usually when I'm talking directly to him or singing to him.

Any thoughts? :)
