Good evening... so I'm back again, because everything that I've heard and read leads me to believe that the Eclectus should be on chop. However, the breeder that I'm going through states that they do not ween to chop, only pellets.

Just wanted to get some advice...because this rubs me the wrong way...

Thanks,

Don’t let it bother you. For better or worse It’s not unusual scenario for birds to be weaned onto pellets, then you do the heavy lifting of introducing them to fresh fruits and vegetables when bird comes home. It’ll be fine.

That said, does your breeder not introduce ANY fresh stuff?

He told me that he does, but that's just words, so I'm not certain.

Sounds like I'll have my work cut out for me, and that's ok. I've already been working on collecting recipes that introduce some textures he will hopefully be used to and get him interested in veggies.
