Not really free flight but...

So, I've been trying to work on getting Bandit to wear the harness but not really getting anywhere... he's definitely not afraid of it but just dislikes having it on him. I tried putting it around his neck first, once its around his neck, he will start attacking it. I treat him, he'll accept it then attack it viciously again. I treat him then try removing it but he finishes his treat and attacks it again including my fingers. The only way to get it on or off him would be if he is eating a plate of food... what do I do? Its been about 3 days, I'm in no rush really but I would love to see progress...

Rather than putting it around his neck, why not encourage him to stick his head through the loop for a reward?

I agree with MonicaMc and try just putting on his back like setting the whole thing on top him but not around him.

I'm with Monica. I've seen videos where they treat them for putting their head through the harness. Also, have you had the harness out near his cage for awhile to get used to it and then hold it while you are holding him. This will help him understand it is ok before you start putting it on. Good luck!

Thanks guys! I've been hanging it in his cage and he is not bothered, in fact he ignores it. He's fine with it on his back just not around him. I'll treat him so he has to put his head through it and see what happens
