So now that Cairo is getting confident again about flying, my partner and I were talking about attaching a little flight tag to his ID-ring (which has my phone number on it). It'd serve two purposes - (1) help us see where he is, since he blends in with the background of the trees, and (2) help him get back home if worst case scenario happened (everything snapped and he spooked off and couldn't find us).
It'll be a little yellow tag, something like this:
So since he spooks away from strangers if we're not there to tell him he's ok, I figured on one side I'd have my phone number. But on the other side, should I have my phone number repeated just in case the phone number side is facing down (or otherwise not visible), or should I have something else that I can't think of at the moment? I was thinking perhaps my name (but that might cause some people to think racially) or his name (but that might be proof of ownership if you don't check his microchip). Alternatively, I can leave the other side blank.
Oh, forgot to add - we aren't free-flying, just flying on a kevlar kite reel. But I figured folks who are vaguely familiar with free-flying might have some insights
