Can't tell from photo. Your friends bird needs to see a avian vet. Birds die very quickly, so don't wait. Even if it turns out to be nothing, its a good idea for any new bird to have a "well check". Hope everything turns out well.

Yeah that cage is nasty and rusty and this bird could have ingested some of that rust I see and if it did get the bird to the avian vet and get it seen .

Looks like a yeast infection at the very least. OMG poor bird. What conditions to have to live in.

Hi, I have only ever seen something like that once before & at a guess I would say they have abcesses on their tongues due to Vitamin A deficiency. If this is the case they will have to see a Vet ASAP to have urgent treatment, the abcess will have to be lanced & they will have to have a course of antibiotics. Please don't delay.

Unfortunately both of the zons had passed away, one in the morning and the other one in the afternoon after given a medicine. When he bought these zons, he did notice the birds slept most of the time and eating very little as he tought were normall as the birds imported from time 3 to 4 days before he bought it. Will this kind of infection will spread along to other birds ? Thx for the infomation

Tongue is an major problem of majority number pf peoples. Tongue infection occurs due to continuous eating of spice food. And the major cause for tongue infection are ulcers. While suffering from ulcers one has to ignore of eating spice food because it badly affects the tongue.
