This afternoon I ran out of seeds (couldn't afford pellets much to my chagrin) and when I went to get some food for them I had a wonderful surprise. The pet supply store I don't normally go to but did go to today carries LOTS of kinds of pellets! yeah! Not only that but they have quite good prices too. So I came home with a 2.25 lb bag of ZuPreem pellets for $12 and something cents. Since I am completely out of seeds (and they got only a wee bit this morning and were hungry when I got home) I had to give them 100% pellets. *fingers crossed* they loved them! I'm talking tails in air murmurs of delight mowing down loved them! Yeah! :30::59::smile041::smile028::smile006::smile027:

My birds are weird though ... they seem to prefer pellets over seeds. Odd I know but thats them for ya. They got all excited when they smelled the fresh food (I always let them take a sniff when I first open the bag hehe). Serenity was eyeballing me, Pix was dancing and fluffing up and even Bonnie was looking and came a little closer to where the food dishes go. I am so glad they like pellets so much. And no, none of them ever got pellets before I gave them to them (that was Harrison's super fine). Oh and I gave them some bird-kabobs (blueberries, organic baby greens, a wee wedge of tomato, and crackers on a skewer - the berries hold the rest on and I attach it pointy side up to the top of the cages with a wooden clothes peg).

Oooooo the wooden clothes pegs, Kito will do anything for a peg, :D Yeah and I do mean anything. I've even got him to roll on his back all for a peg. Great value in my mind.

Yeah, and the nice thing is they get to chew them up afterwards. This reminds me I must go buy some more, I can't do without my wooden pegs. Kito would really go to town on me if he couldn't have his peg.

My guys like to chew on anything wood. Clothes pegs, wooden skewers ... I am lucky though, none of them likes to chew on my furniture or window frames etc. Phew.
