Has anyone had any problems with their babies developing a yeast infection in their crop? And what did they treat it with?

If it's only a mild case we use Nylstat Oral Drops, not sure if you can buy it just over the counter in your country.

I prefer to avoid the problem so i use probiotics for all my birds including babies. I also give all the breeders a dose of ACV 5mls to 1 litre of water a couple of times a week.

I would also investigate why there was a need to treat any baby bird for a yeast infection.

How do you know if there is an infection? What are the signs? What type of probiotics do you give?

Signs of Yeast Infection, vomiting or regurgitation. White plaques in the mouth. Crop may feel thickened. Slowed crop emptying in nestlings/hand-reared birds. Diarrhoea with a sweet odour.

It is more common in young birds, particulary if they are hand-reare

I use Vetafarm Probotics.
