I came across a site that has amazing articles about the causes and treatment of plucking and mutilation in parrots. It contradicts much of what we have all thought and been told by experts about parrot nutrition and digestive and metabolic processes. The explanations and scientific evidence is very powerful, and makes so much sense. For those with pluckers, or any parrot owner who wants the best nutrition, Id recommend checking it out.

Sorry. I'm using a kindle n couldn't paste the link. They don't actually make that food, so no worries, I'm not soliciting. Lol.

Interesting! It does have some good information. I never thought of an apple allergy.

I just want to point out my skepticism with allergies to ALL fermented items. I've heard of it from other sources, though.

I recently discovered GSE though, and I love it. It doesn't have any smell (my bf can't stand vinegar smell), and to me it actually tastes good! lol.

Ummmm, I do have one plucker and I do use white vinegar to clean.....I do have GSE, so I will try to only use that and see if it makes a difference for my CAG. Thanks for the info!
