I just bought a toy for rocky, it is made up of dried sea grass woven together. I hadnt noticed before but the one side of it has brownish black speckles on it. Its actually "in" the leaf and cant be wiped or smeared off. And it doesnt smell funny or moldy. Is this safe? I bought it from a very reputable store, i am just concerned about aspergillus after all the horror stories i have been reading. I heard black spots on peanut shells is a sign of it, but i dont know the norm for sea grass. can it have patches of dark specks? Some spots are very defined spots and other areas it looks faded like its blending in. More chocolate brown on the defined spots. Greenish black on the faded blurry spots. lol i probably sound like a nut.... Thanks in advance!

If you have some doubts about these spots, then I advice you to remove this toy;
when you will end your investigation and if you will find out it is safe, then you will place the toy into cage again;
Thus the planning is:
remove the toy
verify it is safe
place it into the cage again (if your researches have demonstrated it is safe,of course)
