We just bought a new stove, but it hasn't been installed yet.

I JUST read that some stoves contain PFOA, the nasty stuff in Teflon. I didn't even think of this. The website I was reading suggested leaving the stove on for several hours a day for a couple days, to burn it off, before bringing the bird into the home. They already suggested talking to the manufacturer, but we already have it.

I guess I could board Puck for a couple days or something, while we do this.

Has anybody else heard anything like this?

If it makes a difference, we got: Whirlpool 30-Inch 4-Burner Gas Cooktop (Color: Stainless), Item #: 241417 | Model #: W3CG3014XS

When we did our research, yes it says to burn it off by running it few hours per day. We had new widows installed before we buy our stove. Gonna have the kitchen block of with a door with all windows open to air out and close the door in my bird room while running air purifier on high....
