I noticed a small lump on my macaw's face near the bottom of the jaw. I thought it originally was from a new toy bumping his face. Well it hasn't gone away.

I bought a huge toy a week before the lump appeared, but after putting in a new wooden toy. I think the vendor selling it said it was made of cedar. It's basically wood cut into chunks and hung with string. Today I find out that this is toxic. Merlin has not spent a lot of time with this toy, so I am wondering if the bump is related to the wood.

I have also gone online looking for answers and it's possible it's a tumor of some sort. The lump is slightly upraised and the circumference is close to a pencil eraser. Smaller than a dime.

Has anybody experienced any facial lumps before?

it could definitely be a allergic reaction..

it wasnt on a bird, but my horse suddenly got 5 small circle hard lumps on his skin.. found out it wasnt a tumour, but he was having a reaction to some of his food.. took him off it and stuck with the basics and they went down very quickly :)
