Yes and if you can change it twice a day this will be the best.
And not cold water.

I completely agree with Eloy.
Water can quickly become a bacteria brewery.
I use bottled water for all my fids and it gets changed a minimum of twice a day, sometimes more often, depending on temperature and "yuck" accumuluation. I don't use a water bottle, therefore I do get the "yuck" a lot

The more the water is changed the better, especially when in a bowl.

An example that I use to answer that kind of question is... Put water into a cup or bottle. Leave it on the table all day. Come back later and drink it. How do you think it would taste? How healthy do you think it is?
