Tail-bobbing

Hi all! :)

I soon will be the mom of a male and female pair of barraband parrots. The male had his beak bitten off by a citronella when he was a youngster and the female flew and got caught in some wire. Apparently she does a lot of tail-bobbing. I am aware that this is generally a common trait in birds with respiratory disorders, but have never heard of it happening when it was not associated with this.

Can anyone shed some light on this for me? I am just wondering if this will affect her respiratory function if it did not start as a symptom of such.

Thank you,
Dee :D

Do you know its not related to a respiratory problem?

If it's not then bobbing their tail will not CAUSE a respiratory problem if that's what your asking.

Thanks, Augie.

Basically, I just wanted to know if this would compromise her in any way as after she flew into the wire and got caught it caused a neck injury and she has done it ever since.
