I had my regular check-up with my doctor today. While chatting, she noticed the rather sorry (scratched and bitten) state of my hands and forearms.
'I've got birds!' I announced smugly. 'They have sharp toenails...'
Whereupon, the doctor stuck me immediately with a tetanus booster.
So I just thought I'd remind everyone that it's probably a good idea to have a current tetanus shot, especially if your birds break skin on you occasionally.
