I have a 12 week old Alex, who is showing some signs of sickness i think. Today he sneezed quite violently, and also when he flew into the kitchen everytime he breathed in there would be a clicking sound. I also read that if a bird puffs his feathers and rests on one leg that they are ill...is this true?
His droppings are normal, he is eating and playing like usual. Unfortunately my parents are reluctant to take him to the vet, so i'm trying to wait it out until I sell my horse and can afford to take him myself, but if you guys think this is serious i will get him there asap!
Please give me helpful advice, i'm worried sick!

When birds sits on one leg and puffy looking is usually when they're resting, it does not mean they're sick! It wouldn't be a bad thing to bring him in for a check up anyways to make sure he's ok if you haven't had him at the vet since you've had him. Birds go downhill at a very rapid rate, especially when you see signs of sickness it means they're getting weak by the minute. So it would be wise for you to have a check up done.

There's after hour clinics available! If your unable, keep him warm for the time being. It may be nothing serious but better to be safe then sorry.
