Following Percy's vent biting incident yesterday, I monitored his poop and all seemed fine until bedtime. However, this morning, his first poop was slimy looking, dark and bubbly so I jumped on the phone to make an app at the vet. From the time I phoned till I could take him in, Percy made three more poops. I collected samples of each and placed them, numbered I will have you know, on an old plate to take to the vet.
Well, he burst out laughing, said no-one in his 17 years of practice has ever brought him such poop samples. Turns out Percy is 100% fine and in good condition but at least Mommy now has peace of mind. I had the vet check everything, his foot, his broken wing (broken in 2 places and never treated, my poor baby :( ), all of it!
Phew! Now I can relax a bit....but will I? ;)

That is great news! Good job on your part, too! You are a poop sample pro! Lol! ;)

We laugh but that really does help!

That is the best organized and most thoughtfully presented poop sample I have ever seen! All you are missing is a simple garnish so as to not overpower the dish!

Glad all is well!

LOL!! I personally love how the plate has indents to hold the poop. A deviled egg plate would be perfect for capturing multiple samples like this :D

It was meant to hold spoons used during cooking, in its hayday. I don't even know why we still have it, being chipped but it did come in handy :)

Was the cause of the unusual poops determined?
Vet couldn't say for sure and said since it sorted itself out and Percy was obviously fine, in his opinion, he wouldn't be concerned. He did say to watch the poops closely and if there was any deviance from the normalised consistency, I should immediately bring him back.
