I want to take cooper into the shower with me more to see if i can get him to like baths. i cant get a shower perch for a while so can he stil on the curtain rod? i ask because they have to have some kind of coating. he has flew up there before and never showed interest in chewing on it and i of course will be right there but do you think it is okay? probably only 1-2 times per week.

Shower curtains are often galvanized to prevent rust and discoloration but if he's not touching it with his mouth he'll be ok. Mine often flies up there to pester me while I shower because he wants to get in and I allow it for a few minutes until the water cools down and he can join me, but he doesn't touch it with his mouth either. If you're worried about it you can hang a small towel draped over and have him sit on that. I don't use a shower perch in the shower anyway, but in my bedroom window for him to hang out or under a light while he dries off. I seriously doubt he would get on it in the shower anyway. :) shower on ! :)

I got my husband to rig up a plastic towel rail in the shower for my Beaks. I mean to cover it in vetwrap one day (I really do), but the Beaks like it just as it is.

i put cooper up there this morning with a towel over it and it worked great. he stayed up there contently. when i finished washing up i even got him on my finger and got him into thr shower. first time he has ever let me put him in water without a fight. first i just put him in the mist but he even let me put him right in the stream and didnt mind. looks like i found a new way to bathe him :)!!!
