i recently got cooper a safety pumice perch, and he LOVES it. the toy next to it, with the old perch was untouched and now it is destroyed. he sits on it all the time. but, he also likes to rub his beak on it and sort of files his beak down. with the amount of time he spends on it, is it possible that he files his beak or nails TOO much?

I don't know much about Quaker behavior. As long as he doesn't have skin irritation around the beak or under the feet, I don't see why it could be harmful. Could be itchy?

he doesnt seem to have any irritation at all. he just seems to have fun "chewing" on it. he is treating it as much as a toy as he is a perch. what i dont want though is even though he is having fun, he starts to like misshape his beak from biting to much on one side.
