Bird Bath Spray products?

Hi All, I have been using plain distilled water to mist my birds. The Linnies just love it....my new adopted Red Lored not so much yet. My question is whether anyone has used a bird bath spray product that is unscented and natural. I tried one brand, but the small was so overpowering I poured it out. Various sprays claim to have ingredients good for the feathers, but say to cover the birds eyes and mouth when using them. That is about impossible. Any ideas...or just stick with water? Thanks,
Debra

The best natural liquid to use for bird bath is clean cold water that is coming out of your faucet. Don't waste money on anything else. Don't use scented water. Use cold water only, even when it is cold outside. Warm water will strip the oil from bird's feathers. Without the oil on the feathers, they will dry and crumble. Oil on the feathers protect the feathers and insulate the bird. Oily feathers dry quicker.

Thanks for the answer. I have always used room temp water, but will now make sure it's pretty cool water.
