Meyer Parrot: Charlie
Parrotlets: Major and Tango
Peach-faced Lovebird: Eleanor
Poor Charlie lost his cage neighbor last week. She was a parakeet who was constantly talking and although outside the cage Charlie showed little interest, he would often come down on his lower perch and watch her and she would do the same and talk her little head off. Now that she's gone, Charlie doesn't want to go back in his cage and won't make his usual noises. His appetite hasn't drastically decreased but he's sleeping more than usual. When he is outside his cage with me he is completely normal though.
I'm in the process of adopting a parrotlet pair so he will have some company because as far as I know he has always been in a house with more than one bird and I think he feels alone.
While I'm waiting to get his new friends (could be a month) what can I do to help Charlie feel better? Is there anything I can do besides keeping him with me more? I'm beginning to panic, I'm worried about my little boy.
