waay too many lice- please help!

Heyy!!
My lovie neon guava has tons of lice on her. Im not sure what i should be doing... I tried giving neon the vinegar-water baths but its not helping. According to the pet store we'll have to pick them out by hand

Please tell me what to do!! If you ruffle through her feathers you can see many many many Of them on each feather and the amount of eggs you wont believe. Please help??? aand yeah, they're lice not mites. Any advice?

I know you don't have a avian-specialized vet nearby, so here is some info on treating lice in parrots:

Controlling Feather Lice and Mites: Causes, Symptoms and Treatment

Also be sure to clean the cage and entire area the bird lives in so she does not become re-infected. Best of luck.

How can you tell if your parrot has lice? Also how do they get them ? Thanks!

Well lice are bigger than mites. Muh much bigger like probably 2 mm long. They are easy to spot and you can see them running around the eyes. Im not sure if they suck blood or eat feathers. Not sure how you get them either. No prob

If you can get a hold of Ivermectin, that would be a good med to use!
