I have notice these last few days that Danny birds droppings have been a little more watery then normal ( nothing crazy just a little more of the clear liquid, everything else still looks the same), other then that he has been acting the same. Well this morning I noticed a couple bubbles in his droppings. Nothing crazy just 2 or 3 small ones. And not every dropping has bubbles or is a little extra watery just sometimes. He is still eating just fine and wanting attention as normal. I was just holding him a little bit ago and he was singing and preening me. The only other thing I notice is that he usually starts barking ( yes barking like a dog) when Addie our other Amazon starts talking and he hasnt been doing that quite as often but he does go through his quite times.
Nothing has changed for them other then that I have not been able to spend quite as much time with them lately as I usually do ( between school 4 days a week, work 3 days a week and studying every time in between), could he just be stressed from not getting as much attention.
I of course am watching him very closely but is thing something that I can just watch very closely for the time being??
Or should I get him in ASAP?
I dont want to stress him with a vet visit for nothing when he needs to go for a check up in a couple month anyways.
Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Not my picture but this is close to what the bubbles look like just not that many, only 1 or 2 small ones

I just check on him again and he pooped when I was typing that and it looked completely normal. ( I have been checking about every 30 mins or so and putting done clean newspaper so I can keep a good watch on things) He was so excited when I walk in he starting making his little happy noises and fluttering his wings. Now hes sitting with me (since he wouldnt take no for an answer about staying in his cage) :) and preening me.

That image looks like what my suns present after they've been enjoying fruit or after having had a bath, though I do not remember them having any bubbles.....and as the urine, urates & solid feces all get mixed in the cloaca just before presentment, you might want to check with your veterinarian to be sure.....more foamy/bubbly would indicate an infection, but like I mentioned, I have not seen this type bubble in any of my birds' poop.....sorry.....

Good luck.....

Thanks.
Im keeping a close eye on him. Hes perked up a lot and has been eating last last 4 time I have checked on him. If things get worse tonight I have a ER vet that will see birds number and address written down. If hes still got weird poop when I get home from school tomorrow I will get him into his normal vet before they close tomorrow. Other then the bubbles they look normal now, not over watery anymore.

Thanks everyone. He has an apt tomorrow. I think his droppings have greatly improved and he is totally acting like himself, barking, playing ( he is swinging around on his boing right now)talking his head off and so on. I have parchment paper in the bottom of his cage and when he finally poops i will take a picture and see what you all think.
I want advice because my normal avian vet (Welcome to the Bird and Exotic Pet Wellness Center) cant get me in till the middle of next week and I have an apt with a different Certified avian vet but it just scares me going to someone new. So if you all think it looks normal I might just wait till next week, I just cant find much on this guy online( what I did find pertaining to parrots was someone complaining about how horrible he was with their macaw) and even though he is certified doesnt mean much to me. He is an hour away from me, the next closest I can find is 2 hours away.

Sounds like infection to me. I would get my soonest appointment. Infection is pretty basic, I would think any vet could handle it. Best Wishes Bonita P.S. Bedside manner isn't critical just preferable.:orange:
