My Quaker parrot has had a hurt/irritated wing. I took him to the vet and they pulled a blood feather and left one that was irritating him. He ended up pulling it out himself (no blood) yesterday and his wing doesnt seem to bother him anymore. I can touch it now and pet it without it bothering him. BUT he WILL NOT go in his happy hut anymore...its been about a week and a half (it was his favorite spot)....he acts like it hurts him sooo bad when he gets in it BUT i can put him in a towel and cuddle him and pet him with no problem at all.

Could this be a behavioral thing since his wing was tender for a few days?

My quaker loses interest in his hut after a couple weeks. He doesn't find it fun anymore. Maybe the injury started his disinterest but it could be that he's just bored with it now. You need a big box-o-toys to rotate in and out of his cage. :)
