Ive had Ruby for a year and a half and since then we went through 3 egg laying. I just took away her eggs about 2 days ago, she sat on them for 3 weeks. The day before I took the eggs way, she started making a clicking noise, almost sounds like a fast kiss. Then she will talk in between her clicking and then go back to clicking. She's been clicking for three days, only at night. Im so scared that she sick, but Im really hoping shes doing it for attention. Please help me Im so scared, I def dont want her to be in pain, yet alone, be sick!

If she only does it at night it just be behaivoral. I recommend that you get her in with an avain vet for a check to be safe.

Can I ask why she might be doing it, maybe for attention? Because she does switch from clicks, to hu's, then saying hi.... then clicks. But why at night?

Is she making the noises right through the night? Is it completely out of the ordinary for her?

My Ekkie usually chats himself to sleep with a combination of mumbles, clicks and chirps.

Also when you took the eggs away, was she still paying attention to them, or was she ignoring them?

I agree with SB, a trip to the Avian Vet for a checkup is a good idea for peace of mind. Welcome to the forum by the way

It may be just a comfort thing. Many birds make different sounds, even talk to themselves to prepare for sleep. My Umbrella actually sings himself to sleep.
If she does not make these sounds except at bedtime I wouldn't worry.

I would be confused as well, with birds you never know.
As members advised rather visit the avian vet, I know I would for peace of mind
Came across a link with so much info regarding Eclectus birds, always something to learn.
