I'm hoping to be able to use a cement perch to keep Nike's nails trimmed. Do they work?

Also, should the perch be large so that her nails have to come in contact with it whenever she's on it?

Thanks

I use 2 types in my cages. This type http://www.mysafebirdstore.com/product.cgi?group=4948&product=11806 I put by the food dish, as they go there regularly and tend to do a lot of dancing back and forth, wearing down the nails.

And I use this one for the highest perch. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00K...smooth+top&dpPl=1&dpID=31JobkjJniL&ref=plSrch since it has a smooth top to protect the foot pads and textured sides to wear down the nails. This is important, because what Wendy mentioned about most concrete perches and their effect on birds' foot pads is quite accurate.

The rest of the branches are natural wood of varying sizes.

I haven't had to clip my birds' nails in around a year.

Thanks. I found them all on Amazon, now to guess on which size/kind would be best.

I use a normal, straight polly's perch and it does great though maybe I should've got a size bigger (keeps all his nails short except his big front toes).
Pazu loves his rough perches, he sleeps lower in the cage because his polly cement perch is there. He goes where I move it.
