Yellow-sided Green Cheek Conure - Hatch Day 12/11/15 - "Tiki"
Tiki bathes in the clean sink every other day per my rule, and as frequently as she sees fit by hers(i.e. jumping into the sink to splash around or screaming if i don't invite her into the shower). She gets a full soaking once a week in a nice warm (not hot) shower and relaxes in the steam when shes done and I can finish up my much much warmer shower. I've noticed lately that when she's in the steam of my shower, she yawns and closes her eyes on her shower perch. Its the only time she does. I've seen her yawn maybe two other times after a long day. I'm hoping that she just really loves relaxing during shower time where its warm and humid. Could she really just be comfy and calm, or could that be something else?

I wouldn't be concerned if it's something that she's doing just in the shower. My little green cheek also gets all sleepy when he steams on the shower rod.

My green cheek Berry would always do the same thing. I take it as being very relaxed and enjoying the steam, since they are tropical birds after all!
