Curry the Indian Ringneck
So Curry has me a little worried. Curry is going in between phases of active (when I show food) and then phases of just inactivity where Curry is standing on a perch puffed up and on one leg. I notice Curry is shaking a bit too. Curry's wings were clipped for the first time yesterday and I was wondering if this could be do to Curry being cold or due to a cold? Unfortunately my vet is not in today. =/

The puffed-up and on one-leg is a fairly standard rest / sleep position. The shaking depends of whether it is feather shaking or a full body shaking. Feather shaking can be just adjusting feather position (body) feathers to cooling or warming.

Body shaking more commonly is an indication of being cool and working the body (shaking) to develop a little body heat.

Check the location of our parrot and determine if there is a register near by that is pushing cooler air. Move the parrot if needed.
