Perjo - Female CAG hatch Nov 2015
Perjo (10 mo CAG) had her first and only beak and nail grooming about 2 months ago. I noticed what looks to be fast beak growth, as if a second layer is growing underneath the already existing beak.

Days after noticing this I see the outer most layer looks to have been chipped off or rubbed off by Perjo. She had two points to her beak, now it's one due to the one layer being removed somehow.

My question, is this just normal beak growth and wear and tear stuff? Should I be concerned at all?

It happens, but it is not ideal. When the beak is flaky and chippy, there is some underlying problem like a nutritional deficiency. It's good she is grooming her beak. You don't want food to stick in the cracks and harbor bacterial growth.
