Bailey, my quaker parrot, has been with us a couple months now, and I'm thinking of moving her into the same room as the budgies. However, I've read that New World and Old World parrots shouldn't be with each other because of the dust. I have 4 budgies so the room can get really dusty, and I worry that the amount of dust could damage Bailey's health. Does anybody know if it would be bad for her? If I got an air purifier would it be ok to move her? Thanks for your help :D

Welcome! I've never heard that... but I doubt it!

RIP Gandalf and Big Bird, you are missed.
I have heard this caution, but in my experience it is not a factor. Currently, 4 Goffins Cockatoos live in a room with 1 Timneh Grey. No apparent respiratory issues, though windows are open all day and part of the evening. At one time there were 6 cockatoos in the room!

Thanks for the replies :) I think I'll move her in with the budgies then, and use an air purifier just in case.

Purifiers are great; baths are even greater!
