Avian Vet Rec? - Miami

For some reason the search this thread function does not work on my phone so I am unable to search the vet sticky, but was wondering if anyone has any recomendations. I know of 3 but would like to hear some first hand experience. I moved down recently to Miami so want to make sure I pick the right one and if you check my other thread youll see I have a few questions for them as well as yearly check up.

Your going to have to either wait for a Miami based member, slow search the Thread one Post and a time, get on a Laptop, or hope that another member will search the Thread for you.

Or, contact the three AV Vets and be bold enough to interview them!

Yeah unfortunately I cant get on a computer tonight, but I wouldnt be worried going to either of them, it would just be good to have a first hand rec. From someone here who Im more inclined to trust than on Yelp!. All of them have good reviews from what Ive seen. One is a world known vet but a long drive away unfortunately (Susan Clubb, you may have read some of her work before), and of the other two I already narrowed it down to one unless someone tells me otherwise. I will see tomorrow, and if I dont get any responses I will update after so if in the future anyone in the SoFlo area has the same question they will see.

I have seen a couple of Susan's releases on the AAV website from time to time. But, travel time is critical when rushing a sick Parrot to an Avian Vet, closer helps a lot!

Ask if they provide a detailed visit document you take with you of the findings of that days visits and also blood work reports. Lots don't and I have always like having the the documents - that way when I get home and the Boss starts asking question, I just hand her the documents. Married Man Tool Number: 845, sub. a72 for saving face.

Also check: after hours, weekend, holiday and support services!

Thanks, will definitely do so. I always forget about paperwork with everything electronic, but I thinks its a good thing to have if ever needed especially since paper doesnt fail.
