Unexpected transfer for 6hrs due to fumes

So we've had a scheduled thing for contractors to come in and fix our tub (we've been complaining about it 'giving' for MONTHS and they never did anything, well now we have cracks in it and it's leaking into the newly renovated downstairs)

We were told that they were just drilling a hole to fill the underside up with foam so the tub wouldn't give, then reseal the tub. We thought it would just take em a couple hours and then it'll be all fine and dandy, but when the guy came he told us that the house had to be empty for 6hrs due to the fumes. Nothing in the bathroom, no people............. and no animals.

Thankfully the complex gave us a unit to use to put our pets, but my question is this.

The tub is actually only ganna take him 3 hrs to do, but the other 3 hours is for the apt to air out.

By the time we get home (he said he'll be back around 2pm-4pm as he'll do another unit first.... yay for waking up at 8am for this crap and getting 3 hrs of sleep) it'll be either 8pm - 10pm.

Will those 3 hrs be enough for Jardy? I'll obviously come by BEFORE I bring her back in to take a wiff and make sure I don't smell anything (the patio will be open as will our bedroom window to allow maximum airflow)

I imagine the complex will let us hold onto the spare unit for as long as we need it so if I have to keep my animals out longer it's not a big deal, but Jardy's cage will not fit through any door, which means i'd have to disassemble and then reassemble it.... but the next problem with that idea is.. I don't have the 'special' screwdriver head to unscrew the bolts... (there those weird square holes) So Jardy will be in a carrier for 6 hrs which isn't a huge deal, she's had to be in one for 12 hrs+ when we moved down here LOL and she did great with it.

I have no idea, but I asked my l' man, who has a background in contracting and construction, and he said he'd give it more like 24 hours (unless it was the Rickeybird, in which case, he said he'd just push his cage near the tub and leave it there... VERY FUNNY!)
I would add that I wouldn't trust human sense of smell, since birds are so much more sensitive. Thinking about canaries and mines, and... you know...

ah, i was afraid of that. but if it keeps her and my other pets safe, they'll just have to push through it. thankfully I dont work tonight, so I can periodically check on them until i go to bed

So i got all the animals moved into the extra unit. They've been remodeling that place but right now that unit is FAR safer than our unit is going to be. I checked it all over, theres no wet paint or anything, it just smells like 'new house' so to speak so i feel comfortable leaving her there for the night. This whole situation really sucks but there is nothing I can do about it.

Jardy, my cat, and my reptiles will be there over night, then tomorrow after the apt has had a seriously good airing out, I'll bring them back in while we do laundry.

Hopefully, by new apartment smell, you don't mean the smell of new carpeting!

I would go with 24 hrs. But if you can find out from the contractor what they used you can look up the material on line.
you want to check for out-gassing time. Temperature will affect how long it will out-gas. Warmer the temp. the quicker the "bad" gas will dissipate.
I am not an expert. this is just how I would handle it.

Brought jardy back this afternoon. I made sure to keep every window open and everything seems good now. Couldnt get ahold on contractor, but jardy seems like shes fine. I made sure to dump her old food and water just in case.

God i cant wait till we can move out of this place @_@
