Yellow-sided Green Cheek Conure - Hatch Day 12/11/15 - "Tiki"
The hubs was diagnosed with Influenza A on Saturday after a short trip to the Emergency Department. He hadn't been feeling well for a few days so he had been limiting contact with Tiki just to be safe. Well now its the full blown flu. He's avoiding her at all costs. I'm cleaning everything a few times a day, refreshing water every hour, limiting their contact as much as possible. Anything else I should be doing? I've got a little cold myself but we're managing. Hopefully this stays with only one member of the flock!

Fly free Plum, my gorgeous boy.
Tiki isn't at risk from your Hubby's flu just from gram negative bacteria transmitted in saliva. So sneezing into a hanky, no kissing your birds, washing hands, all common sense stuff. Hope you stay flu free?
