I'm searching the threads for good places to find avian vets. It's for Wikibeaks: people might be searching for parrot information because they suddenly have a sick or injured bird. Wikibeaks will direct them to a reliable resource, preferably not affiliated with any other bird club. If it's an emergency, well, they are already on the page, give them something helpful.

1. Does anyone know of any other reliable, updated, searchable avian vet directories? Maybe ones for other countries than the US?

2. MonicaMc made an excellent post back in 2012 - I grabbed the addresses below from there. Does anyone have a suggestion for a more recent or more complete post, in addition to the sticky "Vets in your area" post?

3. Emergency first aid: does anyone have a good reference, one I can have permission to reprint, about emergency parrot first aid? Example: broken blood feather, head injury, animal attack, other urgent crisis that can't wait for Google.

4. People will need someplace reliable to discuss the parrot's health. Maybe ask a question about a vet, maybe ask if a specific condition is treatable at home, get support through a difficult situation, so there will be a link back to Parrotforums. Any suggestions for good permalinks to recommend?

Thanks all
